taxman
I am looking to buy a new Casino. Just wondering, I see many post that they have a '68 SG, or a '63 Hofner. How would I know when I buy my Casino from a music store if it is this year's model, last year's, or even a five year old model? How do I know if I am getting a Casino that has been sitting around for years? Is there a code for what year the guitar was made in the serial number? Whitmore Willy
Beatlenut, Welcome to the forum. If you are looking at a new guitar: If you do a search for (factory list) it will give you a post. Look at the top and it will say ...Topic: Epiphone Factory List Click on that. It will take you to a post where Ricochet has posted all the abreviations for all the factories and their locations. The next Two didgets are the year. I don't have a Casino so I don't know if it is stamped on the back of the headstock or on a tag inside the f hole. I also don't know if any of this applies to an Elitest. If I am wrong I am sure someone will let you know.....(or maybe just tell you I am full or ***) Anyway, welcome
