Why no snowflake inlay marker at the 3rd fret on the DR500 ? I notice that the AJ500 Has one at this fret.

Good question, I wondered the same. The answer has to be to save money. I have the fancy RA version, alas a plain 3rd position.

There's no snowflake inlay on my AJ500.

I don't think he meant snowflake on the Aj, but was referring to the AJ having a marker at the 3rd fret.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you're going to put the markers on the guitar why leave one out. It just looks incomplete on such a well crafted guitar. I would have gladly given the extra couple of bucks that it probably would have cost for one more. I don't see the reasoning in it.
