335 style bass?

That there is the venerable "Rivoli" bass, which Epiphone reissued in the 90's briefly. It is much more akin to a Casino or a 330 than a 335, being fully hollow. They were very popular among British invasion bands (Animals, Yardbirds, Searchers, Pacemakers, et al). It was a short-scale bass, like the viola bass, but its larger body and beefier pickups gave it a fuller, richer, punchier sound. The original had a single neck humbucker, the later Rivoli II added a smaller bridge pickup and second set of controls.

They still turn up used on eBay from time to time -- the 90's reissues tend to go for around $500 or so; the original 60's versions for a lot more.

why doesn't this one exist anymore?

The Jack Casady bass is like a 335, in that it has a sustain block (though it does not attach to the top). The body is the same as a 335 except that one of the horns is smaller than the other. Very nice bass.
