EpiEric Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Wow! Genuine Mother of Pearl Fretrstripes! Or not! I mean, even Gibsons have always had faux MOP inlays. The earliest ones are celluloid.
leicester35 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I assume that your comment was slightly sarcastic...yes? All I see is a used Epiphone G-400. I mean, it could be mine for only £600.00...or I could just take my £600.00, add another £50.00 to it, and buy one of these instead: What's all that stuff about MOP fret-markers, too? Is this some amazing Epi from years past that I just don't know about? Or are they just putting something they shouldn't in Solihull's water supply these days? What the heck...he is thowing in a free lead after all.

JefferySmith Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gibson-Epiphone-SG-Amazing-Condition_W0QQitemZ150295422691QQihZ005QQcategoryZ33037QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I had to clean my glasses to make sure that it was the "amazing condition" that was so muddy looking.
Stevie Nazarenie Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 i constantly come across adds like these. what is in there minds? it's the same when bids go higher than the new price. makes me rage a bit. sometimes i feel like emailing them and telling them. man you could have bought a new one for that.
Woko Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Is there no trust left in the world this guitar must be worth £600 its must be a model we have not seen before the man said there is only 100 in the world. We must snap it up quick. p.s AS90 did you ever get over to that music shop in Rhyl to see the epiphone les paul I was banging on about.
davidg3333 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Even more interesting are the bidding wars on a completely demolished guitar. I have seen some ridiculous prices that people have bid. I shake my head and wonder, what are they thinking? maybe that is the problem, they really aren't. As PT Barnum said, "There is a sucker born every minute".
Whitmore Willy Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 You guys are cruel... Don't over look that he also includes a strap and a lead jack. I'll bet the strap is mother of leather from a cow named Bob. (probably only 100 of those around, too.)
Woko Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I am just going to nip over to ebay and see if I can geta serial number from the seller will post it back here if I have any luck. P.s. I once sold a chorus pedel on ebay for £35 the buy it now price was £28 two punters had a bidding war going on I still have no idea why they did not press buy it now silly buggers

I'll try and remember next time.
snookelputz Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 So you register, and bid - and you use your SO's completely separate logon to BIN.
Bender 4 Life Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 am I the only 1 thats noticed from the headstock photo, that this "amazing" guitar appears to have been strung by a drunken monkey with a severe case of dyslexia??? look closely to see what I mean.......
charlie brown Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Naw...it's the "bound neck," that makes it cost so much! LOL! 600 Pounds...what is that, 1200 Dollars?! :>O CB
matthewk Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Just looking at the headstock shot, to add injury to insult, isn't the logo at the wrong angle and therefore it's a fake?
Bender 4 Life Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I guess its so valuable because the tuners are "gold", when all the other hardware is chrome. maybe somebody played Alice Coopers "Teenage FRANKENSTEIN" on it one time too many.
Woko Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 am I the only 1 thats noticed from the headstock photo' date=' that this "amazing" guitar appears to have been strung by a drunken monkey with a severe case of dyslexia??? look closely to see what I mean.......[/quote']Yes I see wht you mean a pro set up aswell what a bargain!
epinder Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I'll bet the strap is mother of leather from a cow named Bob. (probably only 100 of those around' date=' too.)[/quote'] Now I know that's not true. My uncle has over 1500 cattle in his herd and they are all named "BOB". :D/ Sorry, a really really bad joke. When I was typing I thought funny. Once I read it on the page, I thought, what the ....?
Woko Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Still no reply from the seller I will try again this time ask how old the guitar is. I see no one as bid on thiswonderful guitar.
