You should be measuring the height from the bottom of the string to the top of the 12th fret. What is the measurement there - post the measurement for both high and low e
brad1 Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 You may need to loosen your truss rod a bit. A bit of relief on the neck may be the ticket. Or you may need a new nut. Are the strings sitting very low in the slots. They shouldn't be. I would look at both the truss rod and the nut.
Whitmore Willy Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Crimson, And anyone else looking for setup information, try this: http://mysite.verizon.net/jazz.guitar/guitarsetup.htm Mind you, truss rod adjustment is no big deal. However it is not for the faint of heart. If you have not done it before, You might want a pro to do it the first time while you watch. If you decide to do it yourself, Never turn more than 1/8 to 3/16 turn on any given day. All numbers are reference points. Nothing is written in stone.
