JUST GOT HOLD OF AN EPIPHONE 3 PICKUP BLACK BEAUTY IT SEEMS TO BE BAD FOR FEEDBACK. I KNOW IT IS THE GUITAR AT FAULT ANY SUGGESTIONS?

If you get microphonic squeel you could lower the offending pickup. If you feel inclined to tinker on your guitar you could remove the Pickup-cover. If that doesn't help either replace pickup or turn down the Gain...

Yup, depends on the pickup type and whether it's wax potted or not. You can generate feedback at some point in the volume curve regardless of potting, pickup type, body style, or room acoustics. A wa-wa pedal will also contribute to feedback in the middle of its travel due to the gain in the mid range of its sweep.

If you play really close to your amp facing it at high volumes, you could get some feedback, also. Good suggestions with pickups/pedals. Try playing further away from it (and facing away from the amp) if you have a long enough cord.

Standing(or sitting) behind the amp should solve the problem.

If you can't get behind it, put a 2" shim under the back edge of the amp, just a slight downward "cast" can solve feedback too.
