timandbob Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Hey all. I am a new owner of an Epiphone Dot Deluxe from GC. I bought it to gig with. We've been playing amplified acoustic but recently I starting thinking that a hollow body electric would do the trick. When I got the Dot, the knobs for both volume controls and one tone control were broken; believe it or not, GC gave me replacement knobs for free! However, on the replacement knobs the numbering is backwards. That is, when the volume is fully up the knob is at zero. So, does anyone know were I can get some amber Dot volume and tone knobs with the correct direction of the numbers. Thanks, Steve
Slogold Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Hello and welcome to the forum. If you just bought the guitar, just return it and get a new one. GC has 30 days satisfaction guarantee, so if you're still w/ in 30 days just return it.

ant7629 Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Welcome and congrats on your new guitar. I have a Dot in cherry and I love it. With regards to you knobs, just google it and there will be lots of online stores that do them in all sorts of colours. I must admit, I have never heard of this problem before, maybe someone else has. Would the knobs for a left hander be in reverse like this?
Big Ed Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Hey Guys: I also am new to the forum. I'll lay it out. I've been a Tele guy for years. I'm delving into the jazz arena and am looking for an appropriate ax. I've decide on an Epi Casino. I just can't justfy $2500 to myself (or my wife) for the cost of a Gibson es335. Great guitar, but I'm not made of money. Is the price difference between an Elitist Casino, and a standard Asian Casino worth the bucks? I'm looking at $700 with case as opposed to $1500 with case. Maybe I should stay with my trusty blues rig...73 Tele through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. Thanks for the advise and looking forward to jamming with ya-all in the Epi Forum. Big Ed

The amber knobs have the numbers running reverse of the original knobs.
