A couple of years ago you could pick them up for $450 to $550. Now that they've been discontinued I guess the prices are climbing. Nice guitars --- this one does look as though it's in very good condition.

Jorma still plays this model when Hot Tuna performs electric, though I understand he prefers acoustic these days.

I saw tuna about a year ago and he played a signature riviera on numerous tunes...amplified acoustic blues style, but I hear the

upcoming shows will feature a full electric set...I'll be at town hall in nyc in november...

I'm thinking the price is a little high, even with the hard case. But its sure nice to gander. I'll be happy with my Dot for now. Really want a Casino but that guitar just caught my eye. I would love to see Tuna, but living in a small town in FL limits the chances of that.

Just another Epi I ran across a few years ago. As I was told it came from a Road show some 10 years ago. It was hanging on the wall in the Epi Booth with a sign Not For Sale on it. Somehow it came off that wall

into the hands of a guitar player from Texas on a hot summer day. Then in a basement for a few years untill it hit Ebay about 3 years ago. My fingers were itching at the time and had to have a fix so I hit the BUY IT NOW button. And the rest is history.

Man...that's awesome. You should start a seperate thread. This guitar deserves one! What about specs? Fender Scale, semi-hollow, goldtop finish, vari-tone rotary -switch, and a through-body ƒ-hole? Any more pics?

I really like that body style.. John Hiatt had a guitar player who used the similar model with that shape.. that's about the only guy I've seen with one though.

Yeah. is that a long scale?

and what are the switch positions.. six way rotary? varitone?

I think I'd have put some individual rings around the pups.. but.. it looks cool that way, too.

I can't tell in the pic. but it almost looks like a rose style. are those fine tuners?

I like the no dot board, too.

I was just drawing one of these out for a scratch build. Only solid body. but that shape..

I was going to do a bolt fender neck prototype.. and humbuck in the bridge. but otherwise.. that's close to what I had

in mind.

The Jorma is a sweet deal. It is a DOT neck with 57 hums and gold hardware with a Bigs. It is a great playing and sounding guitar and very easily creeps in to 335 territory without the cost. Plus it is pretty!
