Demigawd Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 It took over two weeks to get here but it has finally arrived, I love that new guitar smell. The nitrocellulose lacquer feels so much nicer than the polyurethane finishes, it feels like silk. Out of the box the action was nice and low and the intonation dead on. I had my doubts about ordering a guitar out of Japan off Ebay but thankfully I didn't get burned. Anyone that has an opportunity to buy a guitar made in the Fujigen factory get it you will not be disappointed, plus I think they look so much better with the Gibson style headstock. And now for the obligatory baby pictures And a picture with its new family, I know its not the most diverse collection but I am hoping to change that soon. Also sorry about the crappy pic the lighting is bad in that room.
charlie brown Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Congratulations, and HNGD! I'm sure you'll love it! CB
Demigawd Posted October 8, 2008 Author Posted October 8, 2008 Thanks, my problem is now I don't know which I love more my Les Paul or the SG. I don't want the Les Paul to feel neglected. I do have a question though does any one know what they put in the Japanese SG for pickups. I like how it sounds but I just don't think its right to take a screw driver to a new guitar just to look under the hood.

I still have to remind myself that one of the nicest guitars in my collection cost only $650 NEW before shipping! Who was the vendor?
Demigawd Posted October 8, 2008 Author Posted October 8, 2008 The sellers name was Bluezy_Guitars, he has two more black and another two in white. I would buy the white to go with the black if I had the cash. The guy was really nice too there was a problem for almost two weeks trying to get it shipped. It had been picked up by the shipping company but they never sent it. This guy spent a lot of time hunting down the problem and dealing with me bugging him.

SG's and LP's are different animals, tone wise. So, I never even bother to compare them, really...more about what mood I'm in, or what the demands of the song are. SG...IS lighter, and easier to stand for hours, with. LOL! But, I love 'em all! The pickups are Japanese versions of '57's, as near as I can tell. They seem to be quite nice! Enjoy..."Guilt Free!" CB
