Hi,

Could someone please tell me where i could buy one of these guitars from, or if anyone knows of them? I know it's a Japan es335 and i'm pretty sure they have stopped making them, thou I could be wrong as i've seen new 2008 epiphone Japan SG's and other epi's with the Gibson open book headstock on ebay.

Many thanks

E-bay, once in a great while, has them. Search "Epiphone Japan."

Also search "Orville," which is what they were produced as, prior to the "Epiphone"

name being used. Orvill (after Orville Gibson) was "Gibson Japan!"

"Edwards," "Tokai," and "Burny," also made a great version.

They were produced for the Japanese market, exclusively! Not imported.

Like similar configured '61 SG's, you will find them, now and then. Only other option might be one of the on-line

Japanese stores, or even European ones. They were made in the same factory as the "Elitist" (exported) versions,

but were allowed the "Gibson" headstock, due to being only obtainable in Japan. That agreement was terminated

in 2006, by Gibson.
