Tuning LP

Maybe a stupid question, but is tuning down the guitar from `standard` tuning to GGDGBD or C-F-Bb-Eb-G-C bad for a PEpi Les Paul? And which strings are best for it? The current ones (Ernie Ball power Slinky) or maybe different ones?

Tuning down can't harm a guitar, tuning it with light strings could be a pain in the a**.

Try a set of .011s, they stay in tune better then light strings when tuning down.

They should do fine when tuning down, but if you like to bend the strings they can go out of tune

easier because of the lower string tension. In the past i played some Rolling Stones numbers and

tuned down to ggdgbd with no problems. I used .010-.042 strings then, and now.

Btw most electric guitars can handle different tunings better then acoustic guitars.
