Purple_String
I saw a stop bar tailpiece replace part online, which is a little different in looks from regular stop bars. What does the additional part do? Or is it just for the luxurious looking? And, by the way, do all Gibson parts fit Epiphone guitars? Thanks! TWANG
pictured are the two studs which go into the wood. the top of the guitar.. so the stop tail sits on top of them. gibsons and epis are usa and metric.. when I switched my bridge and tail out I had to use the original studs on the bridge.. but the new studs on the stop tail worked. or was it the other way around? *L* god I'll have to go look, just a sec.. ok yeah.. I didn't need the new stop tail studs. they vary.. bridges will not be interchangeable on each model.. epis being metric, but most of this stuff is available in metric at www.wdmusic.com name your guitar.. serial number can tell us what factory.. then people with similar guitar can probably tell you which parts work and which don't. But it's doable!! TWANG

Dave
So, anyone changed out their stopbar for an aluminum stop bar? What was the difference in sound? It supposed to change the tone and increase sustain. I just wonder...
