TWANG
some guys like to wrap a piece of cloth beneath the knob and pull up.. I just pry them up making sure I dont dent the plastic knob, or scratch the top. some are harder than others to get off, but you don't have a strat! epis have metrci pots stock.. so you need a knob that will fit a metric pot shaft. TWANG
I should say. I kind of rotate the pot as I pry.. you'll want to do the same with your piece of cloth, too. so that you are pulling evenly around the pot.. pull .. slide cloth. pull.. slide cloth. you get it! jcwillow777
The knobs pull off. Just put a string, or rag, or something under the bell of the knob and gently pull up, from side to side. Some knobs are on tighter than others. I wouldn't suggest using a screwdriver. Gibson knobs will not fit. The Epi needs knobs with coarse threads. Check out www.guitarfetish.com - they have a pretty good selection.

ef_in_fla
You can also use a couple of thick picks to pry up the knob.
