Selector Switch Tip for Sherry II

"Here's my '95 righty' date=' no pickguard, [b']creme switch knob[/b] and pickup rings, Seymour Duncan Anniversary pickups, next to my Fender Hot Rod Blues Jr NOS."

Hey lpdeluxe if you don't mind answering, where did you find the creme switch knob? I have a '99 Blond Sherry like yours and I need a new switch knob (tip) black or creme. So far my experience with locating Epi parts that fit anything is not a happy story.

If you could steer me in the right direction I would be most grateful

I replaced all the electronics along with the switch. I got the parts at Stewart-McDonald (stewmac.com) and the switch came with a black and a creme knob. I didn't try the new knob on the old switch, but S-M sells them separately. The creme pickup rings came from there also.

Mine was a '95, and the switch had gotten noisy, as had one of the pots. I wanted to install a set of Seymour Duncan pickups, and decided to replace the whole catastrophe (it's an all-day-sucker job, replacing any of the parts, since everything goes in and out through the treble f-hole). The switch itself is relatively easy to replace: unscrew the knob (if it's not gone missing), undo the retaining nut, and use a straightened paper clip or other hooked tool to fish the switch out. There should be enough slack in the wiring to allow that.

PM me if you want me to send you my description of how I replaced everything.

Otherwise, no, I don't have a secret source for Epi parts. (And, in fact, the Sheraton is now gone, replaced by a Gibson ES-335 I found at an excellent [low] price; I then traded the Epi for the bass I had traded the Epi for, once I realized it was the best bass I've ever owned. I hope I'm through horse trading finally.)
