charlie brown
I've fixed chips, very successfully, with nail polish. Buy color (or colors, as you might need to mix them, a bit), that is closest to what you're trying to replace, and get the clear polish too, for the clear coat over it. That, and some really fine sandpaper, followed by a bit of rubbing compound, and then some McGuiar's polish, and you should be good to go! Greg Curtis
Thanks Charlie, my better half knows all about nail polish so I'll drag her along when I go shopping.
charlie brown
Thanks Charlie' date=' my better half knows all about nail polish so I'll drag her along when I go shopping.[/quote'] LOL...yeah, it always "looks" better, if the "better half" is along, huh? Of course, you could just go to a hobby shop, and get model airplane/car paint bottles, too. I'm sure they'd work as well. I just happened to have some nail polish around the house, from previous ding fixes...so, I just used that. They're all pretty much enamel, anymore. No more lacquers, seemingly. Although...there is a company called "ReRanch," that sells spray and touch up guitar colors, in lacquer. More expensive, too. Anyway... good luck!
