hamstir
Hi I just recently got my Epi Dot and notice a few topics on here about serial numbers. Mines is 0807121403 and doesn't have the EE in front of it. It came with all the Epi documents and stuff just wondered if anyone could tell me why it doesn't have the letters in front and where it was made and when Thanks
stan 58
I would say China and the word is that Epi has stopped putting letters on the guitars, so people can't tell were they are made. Stan.
Just Strum
It doesn't come up when I try to check the s/n, but I would say 2008 just based on the beginning 08 and agree with Stan, China. It could be a fake. I'm licensed by Gibby to receiving and destroy all fakes. If having a fake bothers you, you can send it to me and I will destroy it and send you a certificate of its destruction. Or you can ignore my bs and just play it and enjoy it.
hamstir
"It could be a fake" Got it from one of only a couple of licensed dealers in Scotland now, so this years fire wood will have to come from somewhere else, sorry.
epinder
Is the serial stamped into the headstock or is it on a piece of tape? Tape could mean that it is a "2nd" or "used" guitar. Are either if these 2 stamped into the headstock?
hamstir
The serial number is stamped on the headstock, if I drop the 08 and put in EE on the dater project then it gives me details just wasn't sure if they were correct.
