Hi, I'm new here. I ordered an Epiphone Casino Elitist VS, I don't have him yet. But, could someone tell me how to recognize a fake Elitist Casino?

Spotting a fake Elitist would be an easier task. First thing to look for is the Elitist emblem on the back of the headstock. If it isn't there it isn't an Elitist. You are going to love the Casino! I've been playing mine all morning. I have my Carr Mercury cranked and am having fun with the feedback.

I've never heard of an Elitist being faked but anything is possible. Where did you order it from? It should arrive in a case that is lined with a purple fabric. The shell of said case should also have Epiphone Elitist written on it.

I don't know what type of experience you have with guitars but the Elitists are professional grade instruments and they will feel, look, play and sound the part. You will know.

The genuine Elite/Elitist Casino`s will have a stamped serial on the back of the h/stock starting with a "T"(for Terada). A neck that joins the body at the 16th fret, and not the 17th like the Korean ones do. And the back of the body will be a Walnut colour on the Sunburst model, whereas the Korean one has a sunburst back and front. The photo in the link is an Elitist.

Does the site' date=' where I buy it from, look reliable to you?[/quote']

Most of us probably can't read German......(and I can't understand why people ask the "fake" question after they make the purchase)

To tell wether a site is reliable, you don't have to read German, just a look at the look of the site I think.

And I haven't bought it yet, just "reserved" it. I haven't paid.

AND, I have

"!!! 30 Tage Money Back Garantie !!!" &

"!!! 3 Jahre Music Store Garantie !!!"

That's not going to tell you anything. I recommend you do some internet research regarding the site. Using Google or other search engine, search for things like "site name" "problems" or "site name" "returns", or "site name" "complaint", etc.. I have done this many times - if a website is doing bad business, there may well be blogs etc. saying so. Do you know anybody who has bought from that site?

That's very smart

Those guarantees are a positive sign about the site but how do you know that it's true?
