Hey! I Don't know anything about the electric system of the guitar so in desperate of help i'm writing here. First of all i get this buzzing sound from the amp at my teachers(Hartke 100w). Then without me even doing anything it starts this godawful buzzing which is even worse before. It starts and stops whenever it likes and nothing doesn't help to stop it. I'm sorry my english isn't that good so i hope i expressed myself correctly. If anybody has had the same problem or might know what the problem is let me know.

Well...P90s pickups are inherently noisy. Stay away from TVs, fluorescent lighting, monitors etc.

And try another amp to be sure.

Yeah the TV thing was kinda obvious and everytime i play i turn off the TV. I have a Microcube and don't get that problem with that amp. Although i get the same problem with a Behringer amp. http://www.synthtopia.com/news/05_01/images/Behringer_V-tone_GMX112.jpg This one to be exact. I thought about mini humbuckers but don't have the money right now.

some systems will buzz like mad if you're using a grounded (earthed) receptacle.

if this is the case, use a grounding adapter (3 prong to 2 prong) but stay indoors and take care not

to ground yourself, as this could cause serious injury.

It should stop if the pickup selector is in the middle position (both pickups selected). Some buzz is normal with single coil pickups, such as the P90 or Fender Stratocaster type pickups. If there are flourescent lights around, you will hear more buzz. A noise gate will lessen the noise or you can change the pickups to humbuckers.

I took my P-90s out and put in a set of Gibson Mini-humbuckers. Problem solved.

JCW,

Where did you get the mini pick-up rings?

Thanks, Faded....
