10drum Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I need a pick guard for a Lennon casino. I also need the mounting bracket. I bought one from WD and it didn't fit very well. I think the Elite and Elitist are the same fit. It doesn't have to be original. Does anyone know where I can find the correct guards and hardware?
pohatu771 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 If you're buying for a Lennon model, you'll need one for a Kalamazoo Casino, I assume. The WDMusic site lists them as 61-70 Casinos, so if you bought that and it didn't fit, one of us (me or WDMusic) is wrong.
TWANG Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I have a template made from an elitist.. I think. lemmee look..yep marked epi elitist casino. I made one a while back. As to fit.. epi's aren't always exactly the same.. I compensate for this.. I make them very tight.. you may even have to remove some material around the pickups.. file a bit. but if you take too much off.. 'one size fits all'.. you can wind up with big ugly gaps around the pups..my way, you file for two minutes and voila! also screw holes vary.. they vary typically at the neck screw hole the most.. the guard bracket hole, since the guard is length adjustable, usually comes out. mounting brackets for epiphone lps fit sheratons and dots.. so they probably fit casinos as well.. flat piece of bent metal.. I'm too lazy right now to look up a casino pic. *G* I can make you one.. but I'm a little miffed at people saying I only come in here to sell stuff. I beat price, and you can usually get the guard and bracket from me for less than the guard elsewhere. I only sell that cheap in here, I thought I was being nice. If you can't find what you want, go ahead and pm me and I'll see what I can do. One thing you can do is trace the guard you have on paper.. and then mark where it doesn't fit.. mark your screw holes.. I use the trace and it comes out on the money for your guitar, then we don't have to worry about any differences that a 'one size' guard may show. I don't realy care if I ever sell anything in here again.. I don't make diddly doing it, and it's not worth people thinking I'm some kind of hustler. But you say you can't find one. so. I offered. TWANG Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 let me restate part of that. if you buy a premade. it is made to fit according to a template.. one size fits all. but often they manage to make them fit by taking off a bit too much.. you can't put material back on! so by making them tight.. mine leave you the option of having it fit, with just a tiny bit of work on your part.. instead of having gaps and such which a lennon casino deserves better than. Emetry Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I'm new, so I don't know the board drama surrounding your selling parts and service, Twang, but I for one, and pretty stoked about that. Since when has having more options been a bad thing, right? Actually, I'm not sure if he'll ship, but my tech in Kalamazoo at "Kalamazoo Vintage Guitars" has a SLEW of older Kalamazoo Guitar parts...obviously, given the location, it's fairly easy for him. *grin* You might want to google him and give him a shout. He does some pretty good deals.
TWANG Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 there's room for everyone as far as I'm concerned. Getting what you want is the top priority. TWANG

Hi, Excuse my English, I'm French, but I have an Elitist Casino, and also the two JL Casino, "Revolution" & "1965". I can confirm you that the Elitist Pickguard is exactly the same than the JL, only the "E" logo is different. The mounting bracket is similar too, just it seems to be more cheap than the Lennon Casino... If you can found an Elitist Casino pickguard, on Eb.. for example, you will be satisfied.

tweed2 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 You might try Terrapin. I've purchased many guards there and always been satisfied. You can download patterns and fit them before ordering, to make sure they're right.
