Epiphone T-Shirts

Something I've always wondered about is the lack of promotional Gibson and Epiphone wear. You can find T-shirts, caps, and other gear for Fender, but little or none for Gibson and Epiphone. My Niece tried to find an Epiphone T-shirt for Christmas for me and couldn't, so my wife tells me she bought a Fender shirt. That's fine with me, but I'd also like one that said Gibson or Epiphone.

How about it Moderators? Can you tell us why there are no promotional items for sale or licensing for outside vendors to produce them? We really would become advertisers for you guys if you provided the availability for such items.

Yes! A simple white T-shirt with one sided print(of the logo) in one colour in quanties of a couple of thousands would cost maybe 3 bucks. Include it with every guitar, heck raise the price of the guitar with 5 bucks and noone would complain.

They don't have Gibson shirts because dentists don't wear t-shirts. As for the Epiphone T's, Gibson is a very "funny" company sometimes, this has been brought up before on this forum to no response from the company. All I can think is that they don't want to have the Epiphone logo on things because they don't like free advertising :0) either that or they think it would somehow "cheapen" the brand -they might end up looking like those 'fools" at Fe*d*r

When I got my Les Paul they had a phone number to call to register and for more "case candy" and a T shirt was included, along with some case id tags....it's a cool shirt , black with the astrological (sp)/Galileo painting ?? Heck had a brain fart and can't think! Anyway it's cool...black with the yellow picture. Wish they would do more like that.

I bought a black t shirt with the Epiphone logo in white from this guy on ebay:

The goods were top quality. I don't know if he's authorised, and at the great quality I got, I don't care. Frankly, he was excellent.

If Gibson or Epiphone don't want to do proper marketing, that's up to them. If they made an authorised T shirt, then maybe we'd buy one?

there ya go... nice variety of colors

Good luck keeping that up... Surprised cafe press even let it through to begin with. I made a shirt for my last band, Something Like Seven, based on the 7-Eleven convenient store chain's logo. It was available just long enough for me to order one for myself, and by the time I had completed the order and called a friend to tell him to go order himself one, they had already pulled it for copyright infringement.

They're already in China, how hard would it be to walk down the street after work and get some made up?

WalMart seems to have no problem finding chinese clothing.

I think they'd have sold a s**tload of epiphone valve junior tees.. and still could. any glance at epiphone valve junior on ebay on any

given day shows how much stuff people are making and selling independantly for those amps.. and yet epi seems reluctant to

jump on the bandwagon.

Take a look at thier catalogs.. and posters.. I'd buy a tee for each of their posters.. the cowboy playing the sheri..the kid with the les paul..

not to mention how many would buy t shirts with THEIR guitar on it.. and the epi logo above or below..

I think ebay and this forum proves that epi merchandise would move.

And I don't see any problem selling it beyond epi owners.. if you just had cool epi guitars on the tees.. man, young people dig guitars whether they play them or not.
