BadAssBluesDude
This is actually a question about a distortion pedal that I'm building, but I thought the people on this forum would have more experience on the subject. The only part I don't have laying around is the tube socket. Can I just buy a cheap one on Ebay or will I regret taking the cheap way out? What should I look for in a tube socket. Keep in mind this is for a pedal, not an amp, and it's my first project so I'll probably screw something up. Thanks, TC
cGil
I prefer ceramic sockets, and the ones with the gold pins are really cool, but realistically, any socket will do. Except in the case where you wind up with a pcb mounted socket when you need a solder lug & chassis mounted version. or vise versus. Gil...
