Hi there, Looking at getting a marshall 1936 cab and it says it has to options of mono and stereo on it. Mono is 8ohms and stereo is 16ohms.

Im gonna be playing the Valve junior through it and was wondering would it make a difference at all if i run the 8ohm out to the 8ohm in for mono or the 16ohm out to the 16ohm in for stereo?

Would there be a difference in sound quality or performance eva way round?

From what ive read the V3 runs best using its 16ohm out.

Cheers and happy xmas all!

Well yeah..... in 16 stereo you would only be playing through one speaker as opposed to 8 ohm mono.

sorry i dont know much about mono /stereo setups ect.

So running through stereo port (16 ohms) only 1 speaker out of 2 will work and if i plug in mono both speakers will work?

Is the stereo input so you can run two heads into the cab? so a single speaker for each amp?

Sorry to sound dumb

or you could get a head with stereo dsp and use two separate outputs into each side of the cab? vjr doesn't have that though, so it doesn't really matter...
