i already own an epi sherraton II and now i am after an epi John Lennon EJ-160E!

this is my problem - i live in the uk - well, ok, thats not the problem - but i have seen what looks like two versions of this guitar - one very red and shiney and a bit tack - the other - as seen on amazon com and now out of stock - much more subtle - different finish etirely -

 

was one korean an one chineese = one made today and one three years ago?

Could be the lighting or the camera. Notice that the main photo on the first page you linked for us. The color doesn't seem to doesn't match the thumbnailed pic at the bottom.

 

Lennon stripped and re-did his a couple times, so I don't think color makes much difference.

 

Just be sure you get your mixing bowl hair cut right and you're in.
