question on epiphone dogear p-90s

i've gone epiphone crazy of the past few months, acquiring a biscuit, LP, dot and wildkat.

 

the wildkat comes with dogear P90s. would these be the same as those found on, say, the casino? are there different grades of epiphone P90 pickups? is there much reason to upgrade to gibson P90s?

They are the same pickups, just different covers. Also, I've upgraded to a Gibson P-90 and there is a difference, the Gibson cuts a little more when fully distorted. But personally, there isn't really that much difference.

epi p90 users are largely in agreement about them being nice pups.

I've sold replacements, and people have been happier with them, but those people have been a minority.

There are quite a few brands to choose from.. but epis seem to make people as happy as just about any overall.
