When you buy from a dealer on this list, can you be sure you buy a genuine Gibson/Epiphone guitar, not a fake or something?

In "Theory" yes, whether it happens is a different ball game, however if you've bought one already (from an authorised dealer) and suspect its a fake then you do have the right to take it back, but it will, I suspect be a "long walk home" so to speak...
