Of course I name all my guitars. It's easier that way.

My Casino is called Cassie (huh short for Casino)

and my Dot is called Maggie because she's got Seth Lover pups fitted ;-)

I always thought you had to give names to things you love, especially guitars, otherwises they're just wood and metal....

Ricochet - sorry' date=' I'm colorblind, and looking at the guitar from different angles, it looks green one way and red another. Can you tell me if my baseball thing works or not?

It's a dark honeyburst. But since I "Greenified" the neck pickup it should still work...sort of. :-)

I call my acoustic "My Acoustic" (Simon and Patrick is a bit long winded) and my Epiphone "The Epiphone" rather than Sheraton or Sheri. If I had any more, then they'd have to get the model names... Sheraton, Emperor etc.

I just asked my wife if she had a name for her Fender bass and she said I should stop being so silly... then she casually mentioned she calls it her "Baby" now and then. :-

Mine don't have names per se, but I do use certain nicknames to refer to them at times. The green fake Paul is "greenie", the PRS fake is "the PR isn't", the epi Paul is either "the epi" or "the $hitburst", the samick is either called by brand name, or sometimes "the less than Paul". I don't play the cream strat enough to name it, but the other strat is either the "beater" or the "burnout". I'm picking up that semi-hollow Paul tomorrow, I'll have to see what it ends up being called.

Typically, no ..... my AJ is known as the AJ .... howEVER, when I got my LP, my wife asked me what I was going to name it (why she would ask, I have no idea, but, anyways...) I pondered it a bit and came up with "Miss Honey" which prompted major eyerolling from both the Mrs AND the daughter.....LOL....SOOOOoooo, the name has stuck, just to pi$$ them off #-o

There's "Goldie"' date=' "the Flametop", "The Gibson", "The Tele", "The Strat", and "The Alvarez". Past that there's no names that come to mind. [/quote']

Very appropriate common sense naming convention for guitars, Dave.

You don't need to search for appropriate women's names like "Lucille" or "Lucy" or

"Sherri"...just respect them for what they are.

Now, I'm thinking of calling my big busted/bouted blonde Broadway.."

Anna Nicole" in her honor. Well she may be gone and perhaps she

never touched a guitar..but in her prime, she was/raised quite a stir in Pl*yboy. #-o

I guess B.B. King started the naming of guitars for women. Everyone's probably heard the story about how someone started a fight in a bar he was playing in. They knocked over a lamp and started a fire. Everyone ran outside, including B.B., who suddenly realized his prize guitar (maybe his only one at the time) was still inside. He ran back in and grabbed it and brought it out. Afterwards someone told him the fight was over a woman named Lucille. He named the guitar after that woman since it was almost lost because of the fight over her.

Of all the guitars I have owned over the years, I have never named one of them. I just called them by their model name. My brother who at one time owned every Gibson bass model available only named one. His EB-1 bass. He called it Felix in honor of his favorite bass player. The late Felix Pappalardi of Mountain.
