Pickups for Epi LS Special II

I have a Epi LS Special II that I've been playing for awhile now. I'd like to replace the pickups with a new set that give a brighter sound. Can anyone recommend a pair of pcikups for this EPI? I was thinking about replacing the stock pickups with a set of Seymour Duncan Vintage Blues '59 Humbucker's that I saw on Guitarcenter's website. Also, where can I get the wiring diargam for my Epi?

Thanks,

I'm working on a LP Special project and added a pair of GFS humbuckers from Guitarfetish... A nice improvement over the stock pickups at a fraction of the cost!

For the project Im working on I went with the Crunchy PATs, for what I read they provide just what I'm looking for. I heard very good things about the Vintage 59s, but I ain't tried them just yet.

When you check out the wiring diagram, be aware that there is more than one way to connect it all up, so you may find your current wiring is different to any of the diagrams you find on the net. That one confused me for a while.

If it's more brightness you're after, if the pups you've chosen still don't quite give you what you want, you could try swapping out the tone capacitor on either pickup. A cheap and easy mod if you can use a soldering iron. Different cap values give you different degrees of dark/bright tone.

Just wondering what you thought of the difference between these two seymour pups the Pearly Gates or Dimebucker for the bridge?
