TWANG Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 ooh ooh ooh I like that thunderbird pro.. I hope GC gets those in.. always been a fender guy, but if they did this right I think it'd be killer. TWANG
AyushPresley Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Wilshire anytime guys...not into them but if I can't have a LesPaul DC then Wilshire it is..but i guess that one must be hell expensive..the more I use the internet my GAS increases..
EL-KABONG! Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Is the wilshire on the cover? If so, that seems really odd with only 100 being made...the least available axe is on the cover? I can hear the dealers now- 'no...sorry, we can't even order that one' 'no...really sorry, we can't even order that one' ad infinitum
JefferySmith Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Wilshire anytime guys...not into them but if I can't have a LesPaul DC then Wilshire it is..but i guess that one must be hell expensive..the more I use the internet my GAS increases.. I played with a Gibson Doublecut at GC and wasn't all that impressed. I like the looks better than the Wilshire, but I'm wondering if the Wilshire will cost even more. GC had two DCs, and both had been dented in the 2 days since they arrived.
bluelake07 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I was defending the looks of the Wilshire, but think it would look better with a smaller pickguard. That thing is huge!
ef_in_fla Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 It sure is, and looks cheesy with only 4 screws.
L1Picker Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 It's starting to grow on me. I wonder what the price will be if you can find one.
custer Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Any idea when the Thunderbird Pro will be available?
sexygibson Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I really like that Wilshire. I love the cherry finish and the P-90s. I am very curious as to what will be next in the series.
Boyko Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I wish they would put the Wilshires into regular production. They should be relatively cheap to make, but I guess they're testing the wtaers with this one. Any idea how much the Wilshire will retail for?
newlife15 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 =D>/ i am in new york city....where could i get the new catalog? i just came from sam ash and they have the old one out.....
JohnMcClane5000 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 How about bringing the coronet back! Who cares about the wilshire!? I want the CORONET with DOGEAR P-90 PICKUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW!!!!! [-o< Nick PS: Where can one get that catalog? It seems that I'm the only swiss person who'd like some catalogs!!??
unreal77 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Yeah! bring a coronet or wilshires with bigsbies or decent Rivieras... Where are the Rivieras?
MarxBros Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I wish they would put the Wilshires into regular production. They should be relatively cheap to make' date=' but I guess they're testing the wtaers with this one. Any idea how much the Wilshire will retail for?[/quote']Given the fact it's coming out of the Gibson custom shop and there's only 100 to be made, my wild guess would be around $3,000 - $5,000.
JohnMcClane5000 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Everybody: "CORONET! CORONET! CORONET!" =D
