sledge57 Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I decided I'm going to learn this stuff on my LP Jr, so today I bought a SD P-Rail for it. I want to order all the other electronics but I'm not sure how to wire the P-Rail to get all 3 tones that are available. The instructions only show the wiring for a guitar with 2 pups and they use 2 push/pulls for the 2 tone pots to control it. Anyone used a push/pull for both a volume and tone pot? I may mount a 3 way switch but I haven't taken it apart yet so not sure if it has a place to mount one easily, kinda like just having the 2 pots though. Can't wait to hear this thing when I'm done
TWANG Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I don't see why you can't use one on volume one on tone... I'm not familiar with that pickup though. I'll have to look it up. the switching works independantly of the pot.. and there different kinds of switches you can get.. Hey. ask this at the epi amp forum. those guys know about every switch in the world! TWANG
iansmitchell Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 two push pulls one vol one tone You wire the leads so the P-90 is grounded on one, and the rail is grounded on the other, normally both are wired together
