fenrirlupus Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 those gold pickups are lace aluma-90 pickups. they are a direct replacement for p90 soap bar pickups. but what about those pickup rings? adapters to use soapbar p90's in a dog-ear sized hole? where can i get some of those?
TWANG Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I wanted to make those. But the problem was the material. I can't use gaurd material unless I use plain black.. have to stack it and glue it. then you have seams and the gloss, even when polished up, isn't the same. could be done with wood, and painted, poly would be tough enough to keep 'em nice I'd bet. Just not enough market to make an aftermarket adaptor like that, I'd guess. TWANG
fenrirlupus Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 hmm... i wonder if lace would make something like that and include it with the pickups (they don't have any dog-ear p90's, not even their p900's... (hum free p90's)
firebird1 Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I know allparts make a "spacer" similar to that. Not sure if it would work for that though
Hiberna Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 those are bloody nice you can get them here. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/navigation/lace-guitar-pickups-humbuckers-parts?N=100001+201679
