jrich44 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 recently purchased my first epiphone a beautiful lefty dot, great tone, however when taking it out of the box found that the little e on the pickguard had began to come off ? Help?
IntelligentAl Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Yeah, you'll find that they are held on quite poorly by glue and will eventually come off. Many people prefer to take them off anyway, but that's up to you. Just adding a little bit more glue to it should hold it on there.
jrich44 Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 cheers buddy, i was after a casino originally but have been mucked around by a guita company who i wont mention.
IntelligentAl Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 So apart from the sticker, how is the Dot? I have never tried one myself, but I hear that they are very versatile guitars.

Not really gone for the rock side of it as i feel its a sort of guitar tha tneeds to be weeping not rocking, but fantastic great build great sound great price
The_Buffalo Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 I think those "E"'s are supposed to come off - there are more permanent glues on the market - crazy glue or model airplane cement are two options that come to mind. I'm sure if Epiphone wanted them to stay on, they could make them stay on.

For your first guitar, its more then a great choice, especially because it is versatile, so you it wont hinder you whilst your "Finding your feel".I was never a fan of dots, HOWEVER Atleast you didnt buy a god awful dean. The're dreadful for everything.
jrich44 Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 yeah i suppose it will be a decision iw ill have to make i the future whether or not to keep it on or not, personally i thought they were screwed but obviously not. Hopefully the epi casino i ordered months ago should turn soon been waiting since october so maybe ill finally find my true self in that guitar
