wrighty3693 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 There making a new historic Usa selection why not add this to it??
IntelligentAl Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Historic USA Collection? Why was I not informed of this!? Maybe I just missed the news, but could someone please tell me what this is all about? Anyway, on the subject of the Oxblood, I agree that that would be pretty cool as long as it was done properly.
wrighty3693 Posted January 28, 2009 Author Posted January 28, 2009 Histor USA collection has been formed by Epiphone in partnership with Gibson to ressurect some of their older more Established models such as the Epiphone 1962 Wiltshire reissure aswell as the 1959 Les Paul Reissue.
Emetry Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I have problems with the idea of an oxblood guitar. There are just too many ways that finish could age POORLY and go from oxblood to something reminicent of the remnants of a baked bean burrito. It's a great colour when ingrained in things that don't really have too long of a staying power (again, i compare the Wilshire re-issue colour to Doc Martins) but at length, unless done PERFECTLY (which let's face it, isn't always done) someone is getting screwed with a crap-coloured guitar.
kevin134 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I wouldn't mind seeing a epi version of it.. was suprised to see a Gibson version what with Jeff's contract with Fender.
generation zero Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I love a Les Paul as much as the next guy, but I'll pass on the Assblood, both epi and Gibson, KTHX.
