duane v Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 There are two Chet Atkin CD's I listen to and learned quite a bit from Chet Atkins: Picks on the Beatles, and The Romantic Guitar..... Fantastic guitar work

DizzyFingers Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 This is the elitist "Country Club" by Epiphone... Yours looks like and older version...
JefferySmith Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 This is the elitist "Country Club" by Epiphone... Yours looks like and older version... I'd have snapped one up in a heart beat were it not 25.5" scale.
DizzyFingers Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 25.5 scale' date=' very uncomfortable? [/quote'] Not to mention the 1 12/16 nut width...! If you have average sized hands this is a real chore...if you got big mitts then go for it...!
Parabar Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I'm suspicious. Nothing about that black guitar looks like either the Epiphone Country Classic or the Tennessean --- it has an ES-175 tailpiece instead of a Bigsby, I don't believe Epiphone ever made either model in black, the inlays don't look right, there's no master volume, body shape isn't correct, control arrangement isn't right, etc. etc. I think it's a counterfeit.
unreal77 Posted January 29, 2009 Author Posted January 29, 2009 Yes, she's kind of odd, although on Hrmony Central there is a review that is very accurate od this model. I dont know...
dubstar Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 not fake: http://forums.epiphone.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=5331 and I think jerrymac had one, as well...

JefferySmith Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 25.5 scale' date=' very uncomfortable? [/quote'] I've got a neuromuscular disease that has left me with weak hands. I use the guitar now to try to get some strength back (how's that for an excuse to buy guitars? but my insurance won't pay for them!). The Byrdland is the easiest for me to play. I have only one longer scale guitar (PRS Santana), and I has been played (sort of) exactly once. The PRS Singlecut 245 is not a problem.
davidg3333 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Jeffrey, since I go through bouts with my hands feeling week, can I ask what the neuromuscular disease is?

Real small necks and comfortable bodies, if your into that sort of thing...
