RolandJ Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I have an Epi LP standard and wonder if anyone can tell by the serial no. what year it is ,,where it was made and if it tells anything about the model??The color is a rootbeer I would say, with very slight burst /fade appearance at certain angles and has a very nice flame top as well, I wonder if it could be a plus top? oh ,,the serial no. is. EE05099554,, If anyone can tell me how to decipher Epi's serial #'s that would be cool too, is it like Gibby's first and fith for the year?? Anyway it is a very heavy LP and sounds/plays/feels/looks great and stays in tune well.I got it for my son but he plays bass now so,,,I am thinking of selling it but after playing it a bit, maybe I'll keep it for band practice when it's to hot/humid or 10 below zero here in beautiful upstate NY and save my Gibby's from the temp extreme torture .thanks for any/all help,, Ron
RSDx Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Welcome to the forum ......... first things first - we'd like pics, please .... if it's "flamed," then yeah, it's a std plus-top. Info from this site : http://www.guitardaterproject.org/epiphone.aspx " Your guitar was made at the Qingdao Plant (Epiphone), China September 2005 Production Number: 9554 "
