aphawki Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Ok so I pulled the trigger and picked up my V3 Valve Junior Half Stack. I opened up the head and cab boxes and didn't find a power cord or a connecting cord from the head to the cab. What gives? Any ideas on what all I am supposed to have boxed up with this amp? Got it from Guitar Center...brand new factory sealed boxes. I did call to Guitar Center and they are going to have both waiting for me to pick up...so that's good. I just wanted to make sure that I have everything that was supposed to come with it. Ok and side note...this thing is awesome!!! I bet it will be even cooler when I can play music with it.
m-theory Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 It should've come with a power cable. It's the same as the power cable on your computers/printers, etc. You'll want a SPEAKER cable to connect the head to the cabinet. Mind the speaker output...you'll want 16 ohm for the stock cabinet, I believe.
aphawki Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 Ok cool...thank you! I picked up both. This thing is unreal!!! What a change from the solid state Marshall I was using!!! I am just in awe!
TWANG Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Aint it sweet? I was practicing all the time with a little marshall in my music room.. and the VJ just brought me right back to good sense and taste. I'm old and should have known better, but I just kept conveniencing myself into a corner. Now, I'm in heaven. Enjoy! TWANG

I just can't get over the difference in sound from the solid state to the tube. I am actually amazed at the difference I can now hear just using the tone and volume controls on my guitar...that's probably the biggest part. I pretty much heard no tone changes with the little Marshall.
Steven Lister Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Welcome to the V3 owners club! ...and once you've settled into to how good it is now, upgrade the tubes rejoice all over again. Rawk-n-roll is back (and here to stay). Hit every BLUE NOTE baaaby..., I'm going to play on:-"
aphawki Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 Hey thank you for the welcome!! I really do appreciate it. I figure that would be the next thing to swap out! I have already been looking.
