lpfan Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I was thinking about buying the epi 56 re issue gold top lp. I know that they are discontinued. Is it a good investment? The price is $500.00 and its brand new? Should I spend $150 more and get the epi lp standard? I want both but can only purchase 1 right now so which is the better investment. I know that a gibson is the way to go but I'm going to buy epi's so that I can get a liitle bit more for my money right now.
Memphs1978 Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 investment? prolly not but if you like P90's go for it i sold mine after playing it about 15 times.. i didnt care much for the pickup's
jcwillow777 Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 It isn't gonna make you any money. I have tried to like P-90s, but I just can't. I love my GT other wise, so I decided to put some minis in it and it was the best move I could have made. P-90s don't like pedals, so if you are a pedal guy, like me, you might want to go for the standard with humbuckers.
