51xt33 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Has anyone used one of these before? http://www.mojomusicalsupply.com/products.asp?id=13971 I want to get a new nut for my Les Paul Ultra II but don't want to risk the string spacing not matching the nanomag p'up like some people have posted. I have a blank at home, but still need to buy a set of files.
animalfarm Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Why did the title of this post immediately send my mind into the gutter? All I'm wating for is the snare drum and cymbal crash! Like this: http://www.instantrimshot.com push red button that shows up on screen... (legit site, no malware).
Whitmore Willy Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 51, I don't have an Ultra II so I don't know for sure. I do have a Epi L.P. Standard and a Gibson L.P. Custom. I ordered a pre slotted Tusq nut for the Epi and they sent a Gibson nut by mistake. The nut was a perfect match for the Gibby....but....the string spacing was different from the Epi. Also, the width on my Epi is 1/4". The Gibby is 3/16". The over all legnth was also slightly more on the Gibby. So, if it were me, I would be measuring very carefully. Willy
