orac02 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I recently bought this. I wasnt really looking for another Epiphone LP, but it caught my eye on ebay as it was local to me. 1998 in amber It needed the frets levelling slightly, and I replaced the switch. Changed the pickups for GFS VEH which I like a lot. Surely there must come a point where you don't need any more guitars?
TWANG Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 When you get to that point.. just turn your back for a second. I could play that one! TWANG congrats.. nice guitar!
Gashole Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Surely there must come a point where you don't need any more guitars? Surely you jest? Nice axe too, your pickup mod probably makes it sound like a million bucks! (pre depression bucks that is-when a million really meant something!)
midiman56 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Need? As opposed to want, desire and lust after? Possibly ... I suppose .... ummm ... NO! MIDI
IntelligentAl Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 If it ever gets to a point where you think you have too many guitars, you have gone crazy. Very nice Epi!
FirstMeasure Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Surely there must come a point where you don't need any more guitars? [ Yeah, when I trade 'em all in for a Golden Harp. Unless I can Talk 'em out of a Golden Guitar.
animalfarm Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 If it ever gets to a point where you think you have too many guitars' date=' you have gone crazy. Very nice Epi![/quote'] Explain that to my Girlfriend, she "Doesn't Understand me..." She's one of those poor, unfortunate, humanoids that hasn't been given the "gift" by the creator. ( I hope she didn't see me type this...heh, heh, heh.) Yeah, that damnable EBAY. Has me slobbering over guitars on a regular basis. I scan the "Other" section looking for the once-in-a-lifetime, gotta take it to"antiques roadshow" and get it appraised deals...
Gordy01 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 What does the VEH stand for? I know GFS. Nice looking guitar. Did you get a good deal on it?
sexygibson Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Man; that has got to be one of the most beautiful Les Pauls that I have ever saw. Big congrats !
danielaraujo Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Yeah, that slight sunburst surely looks good! And the yellow double-cutaway above my post is not bad at all, either! Daniel
orac02 Posted February 15, 2009 Author Posted February 15, 2009 What does the VEH stand for? Its Vintage Extra Hot. Not under any circumstances to be confused with anything Eddie Van Halen (EVH) might use. The similarity is entirely coincidental(I read) My favorite pickups to date. Maybe along with second hand PRS #6 in my other Epi LP And no at £235 it probably wasnt a bargain' date=' but I had to have it. You lot understand if no one else does. wrighty3693 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 You put your guitars up your stairs thats just silly.
Gashole Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 You put your guitars up your stairs thats just silly. Looks almost like the landing at the bottom with the amp and guitars is the practice room...guitars over the stairs might just be for practicality sake. That's tight quarters indeed!
orac02 Posted February 15, 2009 Author Posted February 15, 2009 Dont worry the stairs just go to a store room. Hardly used. Steve
