FT: Minty 2004 Gibson SJ-200 (blonde)

GAS has got me; but, alas, don't have any money to spend. So to that end, I

thought I would offer up my near mint 2004 Gibson SJ-200 for trade.

It is spruce/male (natual/blonde finish) with some flame-y maple. I say near mint

because there is some minor fading of the flowers on the pickguard. I never play

with a pick - only fingers - so there are no scrathes. Just a little fading. Other than

that it is flawless. Never left my house. Smoke-free home and I always keep a

dampit in the sound hole and in its case while not playing. Upgraded bone saddle

and rosewood pins.

I am offering it for trade not because it is bad. On the contrary, it is a fabulous

guitar (a great strummer; really loud voice; sounds awesome capo's, IMHO). A

true Icon. The thing is I have fallen out of love with maple as a tonewood, though.

A little too bright for my tastes, nowadays.

Here are a couple of pictures (more on request):

Here are the complete specs:

So, what do you have for trade? I ma interested in a Martin, SCGC, Taylor or Gibson.

Open to all tonewoods (except maple and koa), sizes, scale lengths, finishes, etc.

Let me know what you have!

Thanks!

Hey - can you be more specific about which model guitar you might want to trade for?

That is a fair question. I would be interested in the following:

Gibson Hummingbird

Martin 000-18

Martin 000-28

Maritn OM-18V

Martin HD-28

SCGC - any model

Taylor - limited edition models

I'm sorry to hear you're parting with your 200' date=' Anthony. But happy hunting for pastures new! If you've fallen out of favour with Maple, are you going to hang onto your Dove?[/quote']

I have to keep the Dove for sentimental reasons. She may not sound the greatest, but got enough mojo to compensate.
