looking for ...guitar setup site

At one time I was browsing and had found a website with a very detailed page where it described how to set up a (electric) guitar ,I'm sure it had separate pages for Fender and Gibson varieties. This particular one had some actual specs with measurements at various fret landmarks and a very drawn out method of how to do ,what to do first and what to do if...

Can someone direct me back to that site ...or another one anyway . I know its out there somewhere. Thanks ahead

I bought a book from Stew-Mac called

"How To Make Your Electric Guitar Play Great".

It's written by Dan Erlewine and is great!

One of the guys on this forum suggested it and it is a good book.

Some of the pics are a little small, but the directions are very clear and complete.

Dan Erlewine's the man! His DVD "maintenance and setup of electric guitars and basses" has inspired me a lot. It's supposed to have the same contents as the "make your guitar play great" book.

The "guitar player repair guide" is more extensive reading.

Amazon.com has it for $13.57 vs $19.95 at StewMac. Or $11.35 used. And my public library

has it, too - free! I'm gonna check it out.

Thanks guys - I looked at every one of those . Then I went out to the studio today and did the job , myself.

As I suspected ,my SG was set up way off from the factory. Bass side was around 1/8 inch too high !

I'll be looking for the Dan Erlewine book too.
