Maybe OT, but advice needed on Michael Kelly Vibe.

I've been looking for a semi-hollow, and I found this used Michael Kelly Vibe in Sparkling Silver finish at a local shop.

(It looks like this)

The one I saw was 06 MIK model, and it played really well. And the stock PUPs were pretty good as well.

BUT here the problem I noticed.

From the nut, there was what looked like a crack that was repaired (glued) that went little over an inch toward the bridge end.

The crack didn't seem to extent toward the back of the neck.

Rather, the crack was perfectly along the neck binding, about 1" or so...

And the cracks were on both bass-side and treble-side at about equal length.

When I pointed it out, the guy at the shop told me that the repair must've been a case of fingerboard separation, not a cracked or damaged neck.

And he told me that the repair for such problem would not cause any structural problem.

(But---, can the fingerboard get separated from the neck from a normal use???)

The asking price was $340 with a Hardshell case.

But due to the problem(?) I pointed, I was told that I could have it for $300 out the door.

What do you think?

First, what do you think about Michael Kelly Vibe's quality?

Second, will this issue become a problem later on?

Third, do you think $300 with a HSC is a decent deal?

Thanks guys!!!
