Eracer_Team Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Ahh you're a proud papa of a VJ 1/8 stack, ok I understand now (yes I know most call it a 1/2 stack but if we follow the math that Mr. Marshall put forth... full stack is 8 speakers and 4 is a 1/2 stack, then a 2x12 would be a 1/4 stack and that would make Epip's VJ stack a 1/8 stack; although I don't think my numbering system will catch on too quick with the VJ owners) yup RSDx is got it right, make a photobucket user, up load it to there and then you'll see a url that says on it, that's the one to copy and paste in your note here.. btw make sure you resize any pictures before posting the url here to around a 4x5inch size, otherwise the page gets real wide and you have to scroll left and right aswell as up and down.
Jazzric Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 RSDx & Eracer_Team , Thx much for the upload Pix info... I'll check it out..... The grinnin proud papa...
wedgeSG Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I tend to agree with calling the stack what it is... a single 12" does not a half-stack make. A single 12 would be 1/8th of a full stack. A head on a 2x12 would be a quarter stack. Not in the mood to do the fractional equalivant right now; but my VJ sits atop of a 2x12 vertical cab which then has a single 10" cab on the VJ. This would be something just shy of a 3/8ths stack. Following Marshall Law: what do cabinets with 10 inchers make? A pair of 4x10 cabs would still be less than a full stack, so a 2x10 cabinet would be less than a quarter. A single 10" would be 5/6ths of a 12" so that would be .....maybe we should convert to decimals here.... Wedgie
cGil Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Okay, so I guess this means it's really a quarter half stack? Not to be confused with a quarter horse, which would require constant feeding, and then a lot of maintenance to keep the smell down. I ride quarter half stacks every day, but haven't fed 'em in years. No food, no poop! That, I like. :D Gil...
Eracer_Team Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 keeping with the music theme... a 2x12 with a 10" would make a "dotted 1/4 stack" 4x10 would make the orginal bassman that someone 'borrowed' to make thier amps from.
