EpiPunk101 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I was wondering what you guys thought of it? Somebody just offered to trade his Epi Zakk Wylde for my Faded Gibson SG Special and i was wondering if i should do it or not? His is the discontinued Buzzsaw one. Let me know what you guys think, Epipunk101
Memphs1978 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 i would tell them if they wanted to put down $300 cash then maybe.. but no way i would take that trade
Guitar Chico Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 i would tell them if they wanted to put down $300 cash then maybe.. but no way i would take that trade Yeah I agree with that one. GC
BlueLesPaul2006 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 The Zakk Wylde is a nice guitar, but dont give up your Gibson for it.
EpiPunk101 Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 yeah ive thought about it, and im not gunna do it. Just gunna have to get a set of Zakk Wylde EMG's to put in my Les Paul Plus Top :)
larkin38 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I agree with everyone. Glad you`re not doing it.
thunderstruck507 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 buzzsaw = ugly, even though I'm no fan of the faded specials either (for playability reasons more than cosmetic ones)
Lynyrd1281734143 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I think Zakk is a great performer, though I find questionable his music for the lack of melodies. But his axe design is real ugly. Wouldn't buy it for a free. This guitar suits to his image - no need to clone it for everyone.
AyushPresley Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 That's a good decision no way in the world (If had a Gibson SG Special) would I have exchanged it with the Zakk Series..well in my opinion I'd rather not put EMG in my Standard as well, you buy a 100$ guitar or a 5000$ guitar EMG's sound the same, I'd rather go with pearly gates or some brustbuckers but not EMG'S
