jiulius Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Hello everybody, I just bought an epi junior model with a pickguard covering whole the body anyone know this model? is it a fake? Serial number says it's 2007 model from china. thanks in advance see pics attached
clarkuss Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Did you buy it new or secondhand? Looks to me like someone has customized it themselves. Have you tried unscrewing it to see what's underneath?
jiulius Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 It was used, who sold the guitar said he bought the guitar in germany in 2007 and it was an special edition, i dindt tried to unscrewing it. As soon as i unscrewing it i will let you know. thx
RobinTheHood Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I'm going to take a guess and say that when you remove he pickguard, you'll see the tone hole and the tailpiece post holes. Probably a custom pickguard to cover up all of the extra holes. But I may be wrong. Epi does some weird things like that every once in a while.
kevin134 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I know the les paul pee wee has only one knob(volume), but never seen a junior like that. the pickguard sorta reminds me of a Godin Radiator
Amino Moore Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 It kinda looks like one of those special editions done for a beer company, I think some of them had full body pickguards. The compensated bridge is standard though. I doubt there is a set of holes for a stop tail.

Some kind of promo guitar, I guess.
jiulius Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 Well, just the tone hole under the pickguard with humbucker spot of course, nothing else.
