Sean.BB 0
I left my epiphone dot in my car after a pratice in a hard case, this was on monday i took it out today and it was all steamed up, but its pretty cold were i live, and ive noticed that with it getting back in the heat, water as started to run nothing big just tiny tiny drops. Could the water instead the pick ups. Is this bad for the guitar
Nic 0
I think you are supposed to let guitars acclimate when the go from extreme temperature (hot or cold) to room temperature. Not sure that explains the condensation issue you have.
RobinTheHood 578
Yup, you should have left it in the case for a few hours to acclimate. Not sure if it will cause any damage, but water+guitar=bad.
TWANG 4
let it sit several hours.. don't plug it in. You probably are ok. But don't do that again. guitars are passengers.. you heat the car up before you put it in, never let it ride in the trunk, and if it does get cold--in the case-- you let it warm up before you take it out. temp changes do damage! tWANG
