davidg3333 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 No, don't get it. Give me his phone number and I will take care of this for you.
charlie brown Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 And, while you're asking us, someone a bit more adventurous or wiser, probably bought it instead? (Just kidding) If it's "New" and in perfect condition....absofrigginlutely! CB

charlie brown Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 So, Brian...did you rush right over and purchase that "bad baby?" Pictures, please...if you did! CB
dcooper830 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 That is a GREAT buy for $150!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad to hear you didn't let that deal pass you by! Congrats! And I hope you're able to enjoy that guitar for many years to come!
Ron G Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Congrats. Such an excellent example of the payoffs of keeping your eyes out for the right thing at the right (or better) price.
generation zero Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Grats! Nice score! I know all too well about fearing the wife's reaction. Luckily, I guess mine just stopped paying attention to what my Les Pauls look like, because I had the new Gibson out changing strings yesterday and she never even questioned me about it. I was glad, because I really didn't want to have to lie about it... She probably just assumed I bought it for a few hundred bucks like all my others... At least you actually got a really good deal on yours, and can use that as an excuse. Again, grats and enjoy!
sledge57 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I hate you... :-) Took the words right out of my mouth. Congrats
charlie brown Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Good for you, Brian. If it's a true "Second," it will still have all the warranty coverage, by Epiphone...as long as he didn't send in the card, in his name, yet. But, even if he did...you still got a "HELLAVA" deal! That's wonderful. As to the wife...I guess you could try the shuffling your feet, looking down...with that "puppy that peed on the carpet" look on your face, and see if that works? Otherwise, Duck a lot, and/or Run! LOL! CB
jcwillow777 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Good for you, I always like it when a plan comes together. I have a 2nd Dot too, and it is definitely a keeper.
Ron G Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Good for you' date=' Brian. If it's a true "Second," it will still have all the warranty coverage, by Epiphone...as long as he didn't send in the card, in his name, yet.CB[/quote']Charlie, I believe you may be incorrect about the warranty. Gibson requires a copy of the original receipt for warranty claims. I know this because I used the warranty for my Dot. In the US, warranty registration is not a legal requirement. How much Gibson scrutinizes the receipt is unknown to me, though.
floydpink7 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 It looks amazing. Have fun playing it! Also, If she gets mad at you for buying it, you could say you bought it for her! But you'd borrow it... from time to time...
