Im trying to look for the push/pull pots for my Epi LP Stnd.

For this guitar, is it the long or short pots that I need?

Am I gonna have to mod the guitar to have this installed?

Also, Im trying to find the 500k CTS but they are a little hard to find.

I'm thinking next best is ALPHA.

What do you guys think?

:-k

Yes, not sure CTS makes P/P pots yet.

Short

You may have to enlarge the holes a bit

Look harder, really.

Nah, but they're readily available.

Im glad yall clarified that because I was about to order the long pots. That is the only thing that I was able to find. I will look harder for the short pots. Im just changing either the bridge only, or both the bridge and the neck. We will see what I find.

How come the long pots are advertised for all Lp models?

Actually... I was just looking at the pots in my Epi, and it looks like they are pretty long. Even the toggle is long. Is anyone's Epi the same way.

Korean, Chinese...either way its a heck of a guitar. Im sticking to it.

I hear the CTS is the way to go. What is the difference between the 500k and the 250k? I have read that 500k is the better one, but there are other posts that use the 250k. It cant be the price, these things are cheap.

In general 500K for humbuckers. 250K for single coils.

250K has more high rolloff so (again generally) they tend to work better taming the shrill treble of single-coils.

Cool, Ric. I will be looking into the 500k pots. What about the size? On my epi the pots look pretty long. Does any1 kno the right size of the pot, so no body mods have to be made for installation?

Thank you for your post and help.
