DizzyFingers Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Does anyone have a link to where a sap like myself can buy a set of gold P-90's for my Casino...? I have seen them on the limited edition wildkats...any supplier out there make a gold set...? I know it's not going to sound any better, but it's sure goin to look purty when I'm done...
Swoop Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I know you can get gold humbucker sized P90s, but I've never seen proper P90s in gold. I would like to be able to get some cream humbucekr sized P90 coveres with holes, but I don't think anyone makes those either. http://store.guitarfetish.com/me90gocaalp9.html
TWANG Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 wdmusic.com has gold humbuck size p90s.. you might get a set of covers there.. not listed on website though. nobody I've found has gold casinos TWANG
charlie brown Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I think he means gold "dog ear" covers and pole screws...maybe? Try Gibson/Epiphone. They have them for the Wildkat! CB
DizzyFingers Posted March 6, 2009 Author Posted March 6, 2009 The dog eared P-90 in gold is what I am looking for...I am fixing up a Peerless Casino in Ebony...I already installed a Black Bigsby with a black roller bridge, black strap buttons and gibson gold tulip tuners... I'll install some black Gibson's if I have too, but I thought the gold would look better...
charlie brown Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Well, "Parts Is Parts," www.guitar-parts.com in Vermont has a lot of that kind of stuff. But, I don't know about the actual "Gold" dog-ear covers. Those seem to be VERY rare, as "replacement" items. But, the pole screws and all the other hardware, they have! CB
rpach10115 Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I believe Lindy Fralin makes a dogear gold P90. The only other one's I've seen are on Wildkat's. Also, the one's I've seen always fade. here's an idea: Take the chrome covers and have them plated in gold. A good Auto restorer can do this.
generation zero Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Black with gold pole screws might look more classy... If you can't find a viable supplier of gold covers.
