Figstrum Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Supplies:_Wiring_kits/1/JPLP_Wiring_Kit_for_Les_Paul/Details.html#details This is supposed to be the JP wiring set for Les Paul guitars avail though stewmac. Its about $50. Will this fit an Epi Lp Sndrd? Has any1 used this set up for an Epi LP Standard?
charlie brown Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I've not used the "Ernie Ball" coated strings, but I have used Elixir's...in that guage! No problem, at all. CB
Figstrum Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 I like 10 gauge because you can play longer without getting your hand tired. I like the 11 gauge tone, but you can tweak with the 10 gauge sound. And, still sound good. Its ALL about GEAR!!!!
brianh Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 You could also try the Mojo pre-wired version. They're $30 more, but most of the wiring is done, everything but the pickups. Should save an hour or two of soldering. http://www.mojomusicalsupply.com/item.asp?pid=577826&pg=92721&id=2115080
Figstrum Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 This looks awesome. I am looking for this same set up, but with the push/pull pots to single tap the humbuckers. If you know where to get this, I would appreciate the info Thnx.

Figstrum Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 Well, I found out that this set up (stewmac) might not work for my guitar as the pots are long. I need the short CTS push/pull set up to avoid having to modify the body of the guitar. As you might have already figured, this CTS push/pull pots are not real easy to find. Im getting frutrated looking for this stuff!!! (more frustrated with my slow pc)
John Beef Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I hate to say it, but I have never seen a CTS push/pull. I'd love it if anyone could track them down.
