BassNut 257 Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Have a broken preamp in my Sunburst El Capitan IV, Korean made and looking for a direct replacement for my luthier. Preamp is a Epiphone preamp built by Shadow, it's equivalent to an older P4 Shadow, with a volume pot and four eq. bands; it's hinged on one end and has a sliding clip on the other end to open for battery replacement. I've been searching online for a direct replacement and had no luck to date. The other Shadow preamps that Epiphone used will not fit in the bezel/hole in which this unit mounts, and I am SOL without the bass. We have some other options to consider in repair, but it would be best if a replacement unit is found.
